Glencoe chalet situated at the south-eastern entrance of the Baviaanskloof is the ideal base from which to explore the Baviaanskloof Wilderness area. Glencoe is a fully equipped self-service chalet which sleeps up to 8 people. The cosy lounge has a fire place – perfect for chilly winter evenings. The two wooden decks give guests the perfect opportunity to relax in the African sun or do star gazing at night. The river is walking distance from the chalet and the area is very popular for fishing (carp, black bass, eel, and barbell) and is a bird watching paradise. There is a circular hiking route, which takes about 6 hours to complete. Various 4x4 routes are in the vacinity of the chalet. The popular Bruintjieskraal campsite is 2.5 km from the chalet and guests are welcome to go for a picnic or fishing at the campsite when availability permits.
